Heath and Melissa are literally a match made in heaven. Prior to meeting, each made a commitment to not date anyone until God brought the one into his or her life. The one came. In 1997, Heath and Melissa were married, ending a two-year courtship and beginning a life of covenant. In October of 2001, they were blessed with their first child, Seth Erick Cook. Then in June of 2003 the second blessing came into this world named Bailee Catherine Cook. To complete their family, the last addition came in November of 2006, Autumn Ashlyn Cook.
After completing bible school in 1994, Heath was licensed and later ordained for the work of ministry. Melissa, also a bible school graduate, served along side her husband as Youth Pastors in a local church youth ministry. It was during this six-year period that So Real Youth Churchtm was birthed in their hearts and used by the Lord to reach hundreds of teenagers in their community. Their vision is to see teenagers with a passion to find their life in Christ, and the conviction to share that life with others.
The proven leadership of Heath and Melissa include city-wide youth rallies & discipleship, world missions in Mexico and Ireland, and mentoring numerous teenagers through a Leadership Training Course (LTC). The dynamics of their ministry imparts a seed of greatness in the hearts of young people and adults alike.
In addition, for nearly seven years, Heath worked in the corporate Human Resources arena holding positions of increasing responsibility. As a certified Human Resources Professional (PHR), Heath brings expertise in areas such as Organizational Development, Leadership Training, Employment Law, Recruiting and Retention, and Benefits and Compensation to the CFM team.
As a part of the full-time leadership team at Covenant Fellowship, Heath and Melissa bring experience as well as a passion to serve God in a fresh new way. Their motto is simply to love God and love people.
