Pastor Jim & Temple Lloyd
Pastor Jim and Temple Lloyd have been happily married for more than 50 years. They have 4 children, 7 grandchildren and 6 great grandchildren. The Lloyd’s graduated from Rhema Bible Training Center in Tulsa, Oklahoma in 1985. From there they moved to Chicago, Illinois and started missionary work and established a local church called New Life Christian Center. This unique ministry consisted of Eastern Indians, Gypsies and Indigent Street People. After a year of work with this ministry the Lloyd’s set in a new Pastor and headed back to Pastor Jim’s hometown of Rossville, Illinois. Upon arriving to town the Lloyd’s immediately established a new local church called MorningStar Ministries. For the next 22 years they worked passionately to build this new church to over 325 people in a town with a population of 1,200. It was during this time that Pastor Jim and Temple were heavily involved in street evangelism and missionary work in Russia, the Ukraine, Bulgaria and the United States abroad. Also, for 12 consecutive years MorningStar Ministries initiated evangelistic crusades at the Madi Gras in New Orleans, Louisiana. In 2007 the Lloyd’s turned the church over to the associate Pastor and moved south to the great state of Texas. After spending a little over a year getting settled in Texas, Pastor Jim and Temple visited Covenant Fellowship. After their first visit, they knew they were called to join the team, exercise their gifts, utilize their experience and help build another great church.
