The Individual
The first objective goal for Covenant Fellowship is to establish the belief system of individuals in biblical truth. We believe ignorance is the greatest threat to the progress and development of human potential. However, through the process of revelation knowledge, as discovered in the bible, the human spirit is released into the freedom, purpose and destiny of God. The uniqueness of each individual is realized when five essential questions are accurately answered.
Identity...Who am I?
Origin...Where am I from?
Purpose...Why am I here?
Potential...What can I really do?
Destiny...Where am I really going?
Equipping Marriages
One Flesh
The covenant of marriage was (and is) the first institution establish in the earth, which is the foundation for society. The origin of marriage came from the mind of God, not man. Therefore, since God designed marriage, we can conclude from His word that the most distinct purpose for marriage is for a man and a woman to become One Flesh. A failure to understand the purpose of marriage will sabotage its vitality, thus weakening the very foundation of society. However, when marriages are built upon biblical knowledge, then the outcome will be fulfilled couples that establish a strong society.
Equipping Families
Parenting
God gives children to us as a gift. The gift of a child causes an amazing transformation of the heart to take place. Suddenly a man becomes a father and a woman becomes a mother. The roles of the father and the mother are functionally carried out through the skill of parenting. In a practical sense parents are to provide food, shelter, clothing and to ensure a general education for their children. In a spiritual sense parents are to foster a nurturing environment, pass on the heritage of faith and demonstrate a love for God and for each other.
Equipping Churches
Body of Christ
The body of Christ is represented universally and locally. Every individual throughout the world who believes in and follows Jesus Christ is a member in the universal body of Christ. Those within this mass of people whom fellowship together in the context of a congregation, represent the many local bodies of Christ. These are referred to as the local church. Generally speaking, it is primarily the efforts of the people within the local church, who advance the kingdom of God on earth as it is in heaven. Even though individual believers can make an impact in the world for Jesus, it is through the functionality of the local church that the authority of Jesus Christ is most realized. The reason for this is because Jesus ordained apostles, prophets, evangelists, pastors and teachers to equip His people with revelation of His word. The success of any believer is in relationship to his or her understanding of the word of God. Thus, as believers are equipped through preaching and teaching, then they are released into their purpose and potential.
Equipping Communities
Civilization
Individuals, couples and families represent the human potential throughout all our communities. Furthermore, educational institutions, businesses, non-profit organizations, government entities, local churches and residential dwellings define our potential for social interaction. To ensure healthy growth and development within our communities, competent leadership, with a strong sense of moral excellence and vision must rise to the challenges of the 21st century. Responsible leaders, who embrace the courage and resolve to make a difference, will literally become the heartbeat and passion of our communities.
Equipping Nations
Governments
People, whom populate the entire earth, are geographically identified under the authority of their own government. The existence of government is to establish social order for the functionality of civilization. Without the role of government, the potential for chaos and destructive behaviors would threaten the very foundation of modern society. However, as governmental officials uphold the laws of the land, then opportunity is created for people to dwell together in peace. When governments of people have established law and order, then businesses, non-profit organizations, educational institutions, local churches and residential dwellings can prosper and grow.
