Women

There is a place in the heart of a woman that needs to be valued and esteemed with high regard. The world that we live in, offers many different ways to fill that place in a woman's heart. God's word shows us how we can be fulfilled in our heart and valued.

Honor is a word that means to highly value, to prize, to not take lightly, to esteem, to give weight to, to ascribe worth. The word honor shares the same definition in the Old and New Testament as glory. Most women desire to have a place of glory & honor.

As women, we must first honor & value God as our father.
The foundational scripture for Women of Honor is Psalms 62:5-8 (NIV);

Women of Honor
Find rest, O my soul, in God alone;
my hope comes from Him.
He alone is my rock and my salvation;
He is my fortress, I will not be shaken.
My salvation and my honor depend on God;
He is my rock, my refuge. I will trust in Him at all times,
I will pour out my heart to Him, for God is my refuge.

Women of Honor will endeavor to learn what honor is and how to live a life of honor towards our God.  We believe the Lord has shown us the proper order of honor in which to live our lives.

The Following list is what we refer to as GFO:

  • FIRST we must honor God as our father.  The best way to do this is to first be saved and accept Jesus Christ as your Lord & Savior.

  • SECOND we must honor our immediate family, which would consist of father & mother, children and spouses. The word of God gives us strong direction and guidance as to who we are to honor.

  • LAST we must honor neighbors, friends, church and our community. This category is what we call others.

Women of Honor
It is important to have relationships outside of our Sunday Celebration Services. The WOH meetings give us a time to get to know each other, pray together, have good fellowship and grow in our knowledge of the word of God. As we honor God by giving him our time and attention, He will honor us as woman who serve Him.

 Women of Honor Meet Every 3rd Friday of Each Month
Snacks are served at each meeting and dinner is served quarterly
The meeting always starts at 6:30pm

Childcare is made available by reservation.
If you would like to bring children with you, please call Lauren at  936-537-9037
to reserve a spot for your children.
